Julio Velarde named head of Peru's central bank
Velarde will replace acting bank chief Oscar Dancourt. New directors for the bank include ex-Agriculture Minister Jose Chlimper, the country's biggest asparagus exporter; former Industry Minister Carlos Raffo; and former International Monetary Fund official Jose Valderrama, a notice in state gazette El Peruano said.
