Fed turnover creates challenges

According to this article published by USA Today on Monday 12 February, Ben Bernanke faces new challenges at the Federal Reserve with the departure of key officials.

"Bies' departure deprives Bernanke, who became chairman a year ago, of his chief expert on commercial banking, even as the Democratic Congress threatens to clamp down on mortgage and credit card lending," the article says.

"In addition, Bernanke faces higher-than-usual turnover at the 12 regional Fed banks."
