Central Bank of Tunisia - Annual Report 2007

Tunisia's economy grew up by 6.3% in real terms in 2007 despite difficult international conditions, notes the latest Annual Report from the country's central bank.

However, the report also says that despite higher overall growth in the economy there was slower growth in national savings as households tended to increase their consumption spending.

Due to higher rate of investment in 2007, unemployment was reduced from 14.3% to 14.1%.
