BoJ's Fukui on Japan's economy

In a speech given on 18 October (published 21 November) Toshihiko Fukui of the Bank of Japan said Japan's economy has emerged from its temporary pause and continues to recover.

"As for the outlook, it is likely to experience a relatively long period of growth, albeit at a moderate pace, and the Bank will continue its close monitoring of developments. At the meeting of general managers of the Bank's branches scheduled for October 20, the Bank will examine the state of the economy in each region
