Interview with the Japanese Finance Minister

Japanese Finance Minister Sadakazu Tanigaki told Reuters in an interview on Wednesday 12 July there was no need for the Bank of Japan to rush the ending of its zero interest rate policy.

"Since we have no inflationary worries, there is no need for them to rush," Tanigaki said.

"If (the BOJ) sends any wrong message, it would confuse markets ... Monetary authorities need to send a clear message on the outlook," Tanigaki said.
