Central Bank of Samoa - Annual Report 2003-04

According to the Central Bank of Samoa's Annual Report 2003-04, macro economic results for the year turned out reasonably positive, despite the adverse impact of Cyclone Heta in the second half of the financial year and the continued strong rise in international petroleum prices.

The latest estimate put real domestic economic growth for the fiscal year 2003/04 at 1.7 percent and international reserves at over 4 months of imports of goods. On the other hand, the annual rate of inflation rose
