Stop the press: ex-CNB deputy joins Czech weekly

Ludek Niedermayer, a former deputy governor at the Czech National Bank, is to work with Respekt, a weekly newspaper.

A representative for the newspaper told local media that Niedermayer would help analyse economic developments and contribute to the comment section of the publication.

Niedermayer confirmed the reports but refused to expand on what his role for the publication would be.

Niedermayer, who spent 17 years at the Czech National Bank and its predecessor, the State Bank of Czechoslovakia
