ECB's Quaden says rates supportive

Eurozone interest rates of 2.25 percent are still supportive of economic growth, European Central Bank Governing Council member Guy Quaden told Belgian magazine Tendances Trends on Thursday 29 December.

"At 2.25 percent, the interest rate of the European Central Bank remains very favourable to growth," Quaden said.

"It is absurd to think that such an interest rate could kill growth," Quaden said.
