Nijathaworn on East Asian financial markets

In the speech 'East Asian financial markets: Some thoughts on the way forward' given on 22 June Bandid Nijathaworn of the Bank of Thailand said financial market development in East Asia has essentially been left to the market.

"My view is the process should continue to be market-driven and not policy-driven. But there are areas that government policies can do more, especially on issues that involve efforts on a region-wide basis."

Speech by Dr.Bandid Nijathaworn, Bank of Thailand Deputy Governor
