The domestic and external financing of the budget indicates that in 2003 the cash deficit reached YR 80.3 billion or 3.9% of GDP compared with a surplus of YR16.8 billion or 0.9% of GDP in 2002. Gross domestic public debt increased from 10.9% of GDP in 2002 to 12.1% in 2003 thus reaching a level of YR 251.5 billion.
Broad money growth increased from 18% in 2002 to 20%
