Malaysia to host Global Islamic Finance Forum

Bank Negara Malaysia will host the inaugural Global Islamic Finance Forum (GIFF) between 26 and 29 March, the BNM said Thursday 25 January.

In the statement, BNM said the forum, held in conjunction with the Islamic Financial Services Board (IFSB) annual meetings, will be held in Kuala Lumpur this year following its assumption of chairmanship of the IFSB council for the 2007 term.

The keynote address of GIFF will be delivered by the Prime Minister Datuk Seri Abdullah Ahmad Badawi, Bank Negara said
