A European Central Bank (ECB) report published on Friday examines the impact on asset-backed securities on the currency composition of the stock of international debt.

The paper, which is included in the ECB's report on the international role of the euro, sheds light on the euro's rise and subsequent decline in prominence in international debt securities.
