IT outsourcing services aid recovery: Central Bank of Philippines survey

Growth in information technology-business process outsourcing (IT-BPO) services continued to support the Philippines economy, despite challenges posed by the nascent stages of global economic recovery in 2009, the Central Bank of the Philippines's 2009 IT-BPO service survey, published on Thursday, said.

IT-BPO sub-sectors, which include contact centres, transcription, animation, software development and other business process, posted double-digit growth rates in revenues in 2009.
