Malawi: Charles Chuka, the former governor of the Reserve Bank of Malawi, has died, Malawian media reported on August 26. Reports cite Reserve Bank spokesperson Ralph Tseka as confirming Chuka’s death.

President Joyce Banda appointed Chuka to a five-year term as the RBM’s governor in April 2012, shortly after assuming the presidency. She dismissed Chuka’s predecessor, Perks Ligoya, at the same time.
