Finance minister nominated as Curaçao central bank governor
Central Bank of Curaçao and Sint Maarten has struggled to find permanent appointment since 2017
The supervisory board of the Central Bank of Curaçao and Sint Maarten has nominated Richard Doornbosch to take over as governor later this year.
Doornbosch, who currently serves as finance minister, was put forward by the board to the Council of Ministers of both nations for review.
If approved, Doornbosch will assume the role of governor in mid-July. He will also have to be screened by the nation’s security services as part of the process.
