People: Riksbank appoints new executive board member

Swedish central bank promotes Cecilia Skingsley to first deputy governor; FCA appoints three new board members; Nigerian president appoints former deputy governor as special adviser

Sweden: Sveriges Riksbank’s general council today (November 8) appointed Anna Breman as a new member of the executive board. Additionally, it decided to promote Cecilia Skingsley to first deputy governor.

Breman replaces the former first deputy governor Kerstin af Jochnick, who left the Riksbank in October, on the six-member body. Af Jochnick is now a member of the supervisory board of the ECB’s Single Supervisory Mechanism.

The Riksbank’s general council voted unanimously in favour of Breman
