Europe’s leading political figures came together in Frankfurt today (October 28) to praise European Central Bank president Mario Draghi as a pivotal figure in the history of the European Union.

Draghi is due to end his ECB presidency on October 31 after eight eventful years. On November 1, the former managing director of the International Monetary Fund, Christine Lagarde, will succeed him.
