Australia: The Reserve Bank of Australia announced today (April 23) the appointment of Gayan Benedict as its new chief information officer. Benedict’s appointment is effective as of May 14.

“The role of CIO within the Reserve Bank will provide strategic leadership in developing the core IT functions that support the Reserve Bank’s policy, operational and corporate objectives,” the central bank says in a statement. “It will also direct the continued development of a large and professional staff
