Lagarde advocates closer European integration
Christine Lagarde, managing director of the International Monetary Fund (IMF), today asserted that integration with Europe is a "big opportunity" and the "right future" for Eastern European countries.
Speaking in Bucharest today, Lagarde urged the region not to turn its back on the rest of Europe, insisting the ongoing crisis "can, and must, be faced together".
Lagarde sought to highlight the benefits of a tighter Europe, and highlighted three measures by which she believes Eastern European
