Indonesia finance minister asks for more help for emerging economies

Agus Martowardojo, finance minister of Indonesia and a member of the board of governors of the Asian Development Bank (ADB), has called for the ADB to do more to facilitate the financing needs of emerging market economies.

Speaking at the 45th annual meeting of the board of governors of the ADB in Manila on May 3, Martowardojo said the current economic climate posed "challenges" for emerging market economies in accessing finance from multi-lateral development bodies such as the ADB.
