Turkey’s Yilmaz says lost output recovered

Durmuş Yilmaz, the governor of the Central Bank of Turkey, said on 18 December that gross domestic product (GDP) in Turkey was officially above its pre-crisis level, but differences in external and domestic demand continued to limit growth.

At a presentation at Konya Chamber of Industry, in Konya, Turkey, Yilmaz said following rapid growth in Turkey during the second quarter "a limited slowdown was observed in economic activity in the third quarter due to the lagged effects of financial problems
