RBA’s Debelle on bank funding and capital flows
Guy Debelle, the assistant governor of the Reserve Bank of Australia, on Wednesday talked on the impact of the crisis on financial flows in Australia.
Debelle noted that the funding of the Australian banking system had changed quite markedly as had the cost of that funding. In addition, the forecast composition of growth in the Australian economy and the funding of that growth may have implications for the asset side of the banking system's balance sheet.
