Samoa to focus on financial inclusion: Scanlan

Not enough attention at the central bank has been given directly to developing and promoting the micro sector of the economy, which accounts for the major part of the population, said Leasi Papali'i Scanlan, the governor of the Central Bank of Samoa.

The board of the central bank recently approved for the bank's mandate to be expanded to include financial inclusion, he said.
