Japan’s recovery to be moderate: Shirakawa

Japan's economic growth rate is likely to remain moderate until around the middle of fiscal 2010 as pressures for adjusting employment and wages are likely to remain, said Masaaki Shirakawa, the governor of the Bank of Japan.

Shirakawa said it was always a difficult task in terms of communication to decide what words were the most appropriate to express the current state and outlook for the economy in a short phrase. He said "moderate improvement " was used to also convey cautious judgments
