Yamaguchi sees recovery in latter half of 2009

The Japanese economy will begin to recover in the second half of 2009, said Hirohide Yamaguchi, a deputy governor of the country's central bank.

Yamaguchi said central bank's baseline scenario projected that the upward pressure in Japan's economy would outweigh the downward once. He said that Japan's aggressive fiscal and monetary policy measures were likely to have positive effects. He also said that global financial markets were expected to regain stability and overseas economies would start
