Fed's Kohn on fin stability and managing crises

In the speech 'Financial stability: Preventing and managing crises' given on 21 February Donald Kohn of the Federal Reserve said financial crises are inevitable from time to time and it is vital that the Federal Reserve have a hand in bank supervision to help maintain stability.

"The information, expertise, credibility and powers that the Federal Reserve derives from its supervisory activities are extraordinarily helpful in our efforts to maintain economic and financial stability," Kohn said in
