Dallas Fed's Fisher on the US economy

In the speech 'Contemplating the nature of money and the capillaries of capitalism' given on 6 October Richard Fisher of the Federal Reserve Bank of Dallas said Federal Reserve policy makers must prevent an ``inflation virus'' from disrupting the U.S. economy.

``We cannot let the equivalent of sclerosis block the arteries and disrupt the workings'' of the economy, Fisher said. ``Nor can we let the inflation virus infect the blood supply and poison the system.''
