Fed's Bernanke on increasing economic opportunity

In the speech 'Increasing economic opportunity: Challenges and strategies' given on 13 June Ben Bernanke of the Federal Reserve said low-wage workers who receive training in how to use banks, to save and pay bills have a better chance of improving their economic fortunes than those who don't.

"Studies generally find that people receiving financial education or counseling have better financial outcomes," Bernanke said.
