Paper analyses the World Input-Output Database from 2000 to 2011

Global value chains in the eurozone "have rebounded after the great trade collapse", while the share of foreign value added in exports for the region is increasing, according to a working paper published by the Bank of Portugal.

The authors of the paper Global value chains: a view from the euro area, João Amador, Rita Cappariello and Robert Stehrer, analyse the World Input-Output Database between 2000 and 2011, They say the foreign production linkages of the eurozone are "comparable in magnitude
