Renminbi revaluation effects on India: RBI paper

A Reserve Bank of India paper published on Friday shows that an appreciation of the renminbi would have a significant impact on bilateral trade with India.

S. Arunachalaramanan and Ramesh Golait, the paper's authors, measure the likely effects a revaluation of the renminbi would have on India's terms of trade.

Arunachalaramanan and Golait note that the value of the renminbi relative to other global currencies has been an area of intense debate in the relations between China and other trading
