Extra-euro trade growth tops intra-euro trade

A report published by the European Central Bank (ECB) in March entitled Trade consistency in the context of the Euro-system projection exercises shows that trade between eurozone countries and non-eurozone countries - known as extra-euro trade - grew twice as fast as trade between individual Euro countries, or intra-euro area trade.

The report compares developments in world trade, foreign prices and nominal exchange rates and provides a comprehensive description of the data and techniques
