A fifth of prices change each month in Belgium

Almost one fifth (19.2%) of Belgian prices are changed each month, new research from the country's central bank reveals.

The research finds that this frequency of price changes is composed of a 9.9% frequency of price increases and a 9.3% frequency of price decreases, so there is no indication of stronger downward price stickiness.

The research examines how frequently prices change in Belgium by analysing the information available in the central bank's business surveys covering the manufacturing
