Bank of Japan Regional Economic Report (January 2011)

The Bank of Japan's Regional Economic Report for January 2011, published on Monday, shows that seven regions in Japan experienced a pause in economic activity during the last quarter of 2010.

The report said that while many regions in Japan had reported signs of a moderate recovery on the whole, seven regions – Hokkaido, Hokuriku, Kanto-Koshinetsu, Tokai, Kinki, Chugoku, and Shikoku – reported that the recovery seemed to be pausing or had paused compared with the last assessment in October.
