Swiss National Bank upbeat about recovery

Economic activity spurred by growing demand and a revival in the manufacturing sectors led to better than expected growth in the third quarter of 2010, the Swiss National Bank's (SNB) Quarterly Bulletin, published on Friday said.

The report said GDP had more or less returned to its pre-crisis level after Swiss economic growth remained strong in the second quarter, and was likely to exceed the increase in output forecast at the beginning of the year. The central bank said it anticipated GDP
