Philly Fed survey: firms see little change in business activity

Results from the Philadelphia Federal Reserve's Business Outlook Survey, released Thursday, suggested that regional manufacturing activity was nearly flat in September.

In answers to the special questions on expectations for production, almost 50% of the firms said total production would end higher for the third quarter compared with the second quarter.
