Labour Market Review (January) – Bank of Estonia

Unemployment in Estonia is set to rise in the first half of 2010, the Bank of Estonia's first Labour Market Review for the year found.

The review, published on Saturday, noted that a handful of sectors - construction, real estate and manufacturing - bore the brunt of the economic slowdown. This meant that a significant proportion of unemployment had become structural, the central bank said.
