Bank of England Inflation Attitudes Survey, Apr 06

The Bank of England published its April 2006 Inflation Attitudes Survey on Tuesday 18 April. Inflation expectations in the UK have risen to their highest level in seven years, the survey said.

In its updated February survey of public attitudes to inflation conducted by pollsters NOP, the BoE said median expectations of the rate of inflation for the coming year were 2.7 pct compared with 2.2 pct in November. This was the highest estimate since the survey started in 1999.
