Bank of Italy - Annual Report 2007

The Bank of Italy's latest Annual Report spells out the central bank's plans for reorganising its head office, branch network and representative offices.

The plans for the reorganisation of the economic research and property management functions have been carried out and its General Council has approved plans for the reorganisation of the banking and financial supervision functions, which will begin on 1 August.

The central bank plans to close 33 branches, starting in September 2008, and
