Bank of Japan - Annual Review 2007
Japan's economy expanded moderately in 2006.
In the second half of the year consumer prices rose slightly, though the trend did not continue into 2007 as oil prices fell.
The central bank raised the overnight call rate target twice during the 2006 fiscal year (April 1, 2006-March 31, 2007).
