Central Bank of Peru - Annual Report 2005

According to the Central Bank of Peru's Annual Report 2005, a positive macroeconomic performance characterized the Peruvian economy in 2005.

"GDP grew 6.4 percent and inflation posted 1.5 percent amid a favorable international context that saw the growth of our trading partners and the improvement of our terms of trade. All of these factors contributed to increase the country's fiscal revenues and to reduce the fiscal deficit to 0.3 percent of GDP.
