Barbados - Q1 review

Boosted by a rebound in tourism activity and a moderate expansion in manufacturing output, the Barbadian economy performed well in the first quarter of the year.

The Central Bank of Barbados estimated in its first quarterly review of 2008 that the economy grew by 4%, up from 2.6% in the opening three months of 2007, amid slowing inflation and low unemployment.
