Central Bank of Ireland, Quarterly Bulletin 4/2006

The Central Bank and Financial Services Authority of Ireland has published its Fourth Quarterly Bulletin for 2006. According to the Bulletin, against a generally favourable international background, the prospects for the domestic economy remain positive.

"The volume of GNP is expected to increase by 5.5 per cent this year, followed by further growth of 5.5 per cent in 2007. These rates of growth are likely to continue to generate strong employment growth resulting in the unemployment rate
