Bank of Slovenia - Annual Report 2007

The future competitiveness of the Slovenian economy will depend mainly on the results of wage negotiations, said Marko Kranjec, the governor of the Bank of Slovenia, in the latest Annual Report.

The governor said that given the inflationary pressures in recent months, there has been a decrease in real wages triggering demands for wage increases. The governor also warned that Slovenia will face significant risks to the competitiveness of its economy in the remainder of 2008.
