Bank of England Inflation Attitudes Survey, Feb 06

The Bank of England published its February 2006 Inflation Attitudes Survey on Monday. Inflation expectations in the UK have risen to levels not seen in over two years, the Survey said.

The quarterly Inflation Attitudes Survey conducted by pollsters NOP on behalf of the central bank revealed that the median estimate for inflation in the coming year rose to 2.6 pct from 2.2 pct in the previous survey.

The latest estimate is the highest since November 2003.
