Deutsche Bundesbank Monthly Report, July 2006

The Deutsche Bundesbank published the English version of its July 2006 Monthly Report on 10 August. The report said the German economy likely gained momentum in the second quarter, helped by the building industry and an influx of visitors to the soccer World Cup.

"Real gross domestic product growth in the second quarter likely exceeded noticeably the expansion in the first quarter," the Bundesbank said in the monthly bulletin.
