Bank of Uganda - Annual Report 2004-2005

According to the Bank of Uganda's Annual Report 2004-2005, annual underlying inflation averaged 4.7 percent over the year 2004/05, well within the government's 5.0 percent target.

Monetary and financial sector policies remained focused at maintaining low and stable inflation, stable interest rates and attainment of a competitive exchange rate in line with the country's medium term economic framework.
