Bank of England bulletin for Q2

The Bank of England released its second Quarterly Bulletin for 2008 on Monday.

The bulletin includes an article that looks at what is behind the marked increase in the British public's inflation expectations for the next year.

The article concludes that latest increases in households' inflation expectations could be consistent with recent macroeconomic data, but that - worryingly - increases in households' perceptions of current inflation may also have played a role.
