SNB launches interactive ‘data portal’

Plan is to release larger volumes and more detailed data

The Swiss National Bank (SNB) launched an interactive online database today (August 27) as a first step towards releasing larger volumes of more detailed data.

The "data portal", built as its own website on a sub-domain of the SNB website, offers users access to statistics including the central bank's balance sheet, market interest rates, payments, banks' aggregated regulatory data and economic data such as inflation.

The SNB plans to build up the types of data available, as well as the detail
