Jean-Pierre Danthine will retire from SNB in June
Search for next vice-chairman has already started
Jean-Pierre Danthine, vice-chairman of the Swiss National Bank's (SNB) governing board, will retire at the end of his term in June 2015. The SNB today said it has already begun the hunt for his replacement.
Danthine, who was responsible for the introduction of a minimum exchange rate on the Swiss franc against the euro in 2011, informed the SNB bank council of his intention on Friday, citing the fact he will have reached official retirement age when his term expires.
