Bank Negara Malaysia strikes deals with AFI and HKMA

Bank Negara Malaysia has signed a letter of co-operation with the Alliance for Financial Inclusion (AFI) – a network of developing-country policy-makers working to increase access to financial services for the poor – "to establish a collaborative framework for capacity building targeted at policymakers and regulators around the world", the central bank says.

Under the terms of the new initiative, agreed on earlier today by Zeti Akhtar Aziz, the central bank governor, and AFI executive director
